The brief
Former Harrodian Deputy Head David Paton had a dream to open an independent school. He wanted to create a senior school environment that was both professional and focused on children’s achievement, and at the same time was a place that parents felt they could network, enjoy a coffee and take in the River Thames view. David asked Communitas to create a complete design and communications solution to launch Radnor House School to local parents and ensure that it was full on opening.
Our response
We extensively researched premium and luxury brands, as well as other independent schools, and recommended that Radnor adopt a rich palette of reds and golds to communicate warmth and prestige. Our design team devised a clean, typographical logo with a complete set of brand guidelines and plan for rolling the brand out across all aspects of the school environment.
Alongside this we devised a school marketing plan of events, PR and advertising which ensured that the school was full on opening.
Our success with this school marketing campaign led Radnor House to re-hire Communitas to support the opening of their Sixth Form, which our work also ensured was full when it opened. Most recently we designed and delivered a school marketing campaign to support their newly-acquired school, Radnor House Sevenoaks (which had recently gone co-ed) to attract more boys. When we started working with the school the number of boys across the whole school was three. Three years later it stood at 145.
Communitas has delivered an innovative campaign across many different communication channels. The team are knowledgeable and resourceful education professionals, who have been helpful at all times in assisting us to reach prospective parents and the wider community. Communitas understood the brief very well, which is reflected in the quality of the materials produced, including a first-class prospectus and a fantastic website.
