Ken is the former MD of Communitas and handed this roll over to Hannah Jefferies back in 2019. Ken remains an employee of Communitas and brings a wealth of public and private sector experience to the design and production side of our business. He has designed and led on a number of whole-school launches, leading on the creation of new brand identities and a full range of marketing and communications deliverables. Ken has also recently led on the design and build of a number of new websites for Alternative Provider Mayesbrook Park School, as well as South Bank Engineering UTC and Barking and Dagenham School Improvement Service (BDSIP) and is supporting the Lion Academy Trust with the opening of a new secondary school in Waltham Forest, London in 2020.
Ken brings a meticulous eye for detail and expertise in innovative design that reaches the right audience. Clients praise his ability to understand their priorities and work flexibly with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ken is a Trustee at a multi academy trust in West Sussex where he sits on the Financial Committee and is chair of the Appeals Panel.
Hannah is Managing Director of Communitas and is a highly experienced and committed marketing and communications professional whose expertise covers the full marketing mix and ranges from strategic advice right through to practical hands-on delivery. She has directed and led on a wide variety of high-profile accounts including West London Free School, Teach First, Harlow College and Park View Educational Trust.
She has designed and managed strategic communications campaigns for Learn Music London, Wicked the Musical and The American School in England. An experienced trainer, Hannah has led communications and marketing workshops for senior staff at clients as varied as Living Streets and Wandsworth Council.
Hannah brings excellent organisational skills, creative thinking and a conviction that every client deserves the best the team can deliver. She is co-chair of governors at a local primary school and volunteer with a Brighton-based charity for children with special needs.
Helen is an experienced marketing and communications professional with extensive experience of working in profit and not for profit sectors.
She brings specific expertise in education marketing and has sat on the steering group of the Further Education College Marketing Network and led the marketing team at an Ofsted Outstanding FE college. She has designed comprehensive outreach programmes for FE, creating engaging resources and contact programmes aimed at secondary school teachers and students.
Passionate about prose and creative with content, she is a proactive, positive and enthusiastic communicator and is experienced in writing for a wide range of media from press releases, all types of marketing literature through to internal communications and corporate documents. Helen is a CIM Associate Member and lecturer in CIM marketing qualifications including Digital Marketing.
Helen is also a member of the CIPR and a qualified City & Guilds Assessor and Verifier with experience of working on the Digital Marketer, Digital and Social Media, Event Management and Leadership and Management apprenticeships and professional qualifications. Additionally, Helen has a Level 5 ILM Project Management qualification.
